Dinaw Mengestu

Né en 1978 à Addis-Abeba (Ethiopie), Dinaw Mengestu quitte son pays en proie à la dictature avec sa famille, qui s’installe d’abord dans l’Illinois, puis dans la région de Chicago. Il n’a que deux ans. Après de brillantes études universitaires à Washington, il mène une double carrière : enseignant l’écriture créative aux USA et journaliste à Paris (Rolling Stones, The Wall Street Journal).
